Description: Although not technically a climb getting to the Sistine Chapel can be an arduous and at times claustrophobic experience. A lot of that has to do with thousands of daily visitors shuffling their way down grand halls, up narrow stairs, and along immense corridors in eager anticipation of laying eyes on the greatest ceiling in the world. Michelangelo doesn’t disappoint but the journey lacks the soul of other great climbs and more than one tourist has compared it to Disney World with better art.
